About Eddie Harrison

Eddie's "first guitar" was put together from parts he found in a customer's trash while on his paper-route. His first "real" electric guitar fortunately was made possible through the generosity of his grandparents at age 11. He tried taking lessons from a family friend but found it frustrating to look at pieces of paper with notes on it as opposed to just playing and making up riffs. He diligently taught himself and indulged in learning and establishing his technique.

Musically, he found he could express himself emotionally through his voice and his lyrics. The great thinker and analyzer began composing at a very early age. He would spend hours writing music in his head while taking to his favorite rocking chair for inspiration. He has a talent for interweaving musical nuances in between song leads. His leads are subtle and yet dynamic. He has a wide range of both lead and rhythmic styles. He also learned to play a little bit of piano. Some of his many influences are George Benson, Crosby Still & Nash, America and Al Di Meola. His vocal traditions enjoy the soothing voices of Harry Connick Jr., Nat King Cole, and Johnny Mathis.

Almost from the beginning, Eddie was attracted to playing the lead guitar. He would sit for hours with his friend Steve and play winding improvisational guitar solos. Eddie also had a natural gift of singing harmony which blended well with Steve and later Jimmy. In addition to Foxfire, Eddie co-founded a group called Lost Children. The group had many successes, one of which was being asked to record at the Cleveland Institute of Music in the early 90's. He also briefly studied audio engineering at Beechwood Studios in Cleveland, Ohio.

Eddie was the consummate collector and entrepreneur. He collected stamps, beer cans, baseball and football cards...you name it! He was also always working on (or thinking about) some type of company or invention. Early on, Eddie tried his hand at a brief modeling career...This pretty much ended after the first modeling shoot. He sold antique art prints for a time, and worked on several endeavors with mild successes...but he did eventually go on to build and sell a internet search engine to a public company.

Eddie now enjoys his leisure time sitting by the pool in his Las Vegas home. Other than that, we still do not know what he does for a living. He is married and has two adult daughters and two grandsons.
